According to Oni Rao, reality was once like the Tower of Babel. We had one, unified narrative from which we have deviated, and every human was appointed a task. The introduction of free will split this reality into indefinite possibilities and set the Wheel of Samsara into motion. This cycle of reincarnation is the source of suffering, addiction, and dissonance.
The path home (and the only exit) relies on fulfilling that forgotten purpose. For some, this is as simple as getting on the right bus at the right time. For many, it means not being born at all. For Ethan Pohaku, it always begins and ends with meeting Oni.
